Hilton Maldives Resort & Spa has added Kids Stay, Play and Eat for Free to their comprehensive offerings at the Resort. If guests travel with children, then as long as they are staying in the same villa as their parents – they stay, play and eat for free.

The Maldives is a stunning tropical destination, a country made up of over 1200 islands surrounded by soft white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and dotted with swaying palm trees. Not only is the Maldives a true destination for romance, but is an ideal destination for children. The resort is fully equipped with a kids club where various fun activities take place each day, the opportunity for slightly older children to explore the Indian Ocean with diving and snorkelling activities, voted recently one of the top ten diving destinations in the world.

The Sweet Pea Spa is an exclusive area for little people to be introduced to the peace and serenity of the world of spa with their very own treatments designed for young skin – a full range of treatments for mother and daughter and father and son are available, there is even a dedicated relaxation area just for children.

A vast selection of restaurants are child friendly with child menus and drinks, the family pool Fluid is the ideal area for swimming under cool waterfalls and having fun in the shallow waters whilst healthy snacks, sandwiches and pizza are served throughout the day.

With an extensive wine cellar of over 20,000 bottles, Conrad Maldives Rangali Island further enhances its guests’ wine experience this year with the introduction of three new ways of enjoying champagne at this luxury resort: ‘Bubbles on the Beach’, ‘Sparkling Hour’ and ‘The Perfect Sundowner’.

Priced at US$800, ‘Bubbles On The Beach’ is the ultimate Robinson Crusoe experience for those who prefer their desert island experience to be as luxurious as possible.  Guests are whisked off by speedboat to a deserted island where an indulgent picnic hamper, complete with a bottle of champagne, awaits them.  ‘Abandoned’ on the island, the happy couple can spend the afternoon exploring, relaxing under the sun, snorkelling the coral reef and of course, enjoying perfectly chilled champagne in an idyllic tropical setting.  Once ready to come home, the couple use the mobile phone they’ve been given to call the resort to bring them back.

‘Sparkling Hour’ takes place on Thursday and Saturday nights on the terrace of Rangali Bar at Sunset where, from 7pm guests can enjoy an hour’s unlimited flow of champagnes and sparkling wines for US$99 per person as the house DJ plays chillout music.

In keeping with the resort’s ethos of delivering a world of style, the ‘Perfect Sundowner’ was created to enable guests to enjoy their favourite champagne at the perfect time of the day in the luxury of their own villa.  Guests simply choose their preferred champagne from the list of over 130 bottles and it will be delivered to their villa just before the sunset along with a complimentary selection of canapés.

Food and beverage director Wolfgang Brandl explains: “Of course there’s never a wrong way to enjoy champagne, but relaxing in the privacy of your own private villa while taking in the beauty of a breathtaking Maldivian sunset with a glass of your favourite champagne in your hand has to be one of the most spectacular ways to do it.”
